More Amazing Cuencan Street Art – Cuenca, Ecuador
If you saw our previous posts from Panama and here in Cuenca, you know how we love all the street art! Here’s some more of the amazing work we’ve come across in the last few weeks.
Found this fellow on the wall outside a school.
There are hummingbirds EVERYWHERE here in Cuenca – real, painted, carved, fabricated in jewelry…
Ahhh, Panama hats…made right here in Ecuador! True fact!

Love this little guy! He has some cousins around town that we’ve seen as well.
They do absolutely amazing faces here. It’s the eyes, really, I think.

This is at the very top of a long stair climb…even with those houses on top, he always seems to beat me up there!
A mighty fine whale here.
It’s rare, but there’s some nice minimalist pieces, too!
And it’s not just paintings – some unique sculptures as well!

This rusting piece was actually on a median – they have a lot of sculptures there and on roundabouts.

Both sides of this stair climb were fully mosaic-ed from top to bottom!

Wonderful! Some of these in America would be painted over as graffiti which would be a shame.
So true! Some of them here have a little Cuenca logo in one corner, so I’m pretty sure they were actually authorized by the city, which is wonderful.
